MARRIAGE ON THE ROCK - This is a special program presented by Dennis and Lisa Loy.  It's for all couples of all ages.  Over 50 people gathered this past Sunday evening, April 12, for the Valtentine's Kick-off Banquet for Marriage on the Rock.  Everyone had a great time, and everyone is looking forward to the beginning of the classes - April 19.   There is something for everyone in this study.  You don't have to be having marriage problems to benefit from this class.  If your marriage is going great, this class will make it greater!      The title of this unit of lessons is:  "Return to Intimacy"

APOSTLES PREACHING SERIES - I am in the midst of preaching a series of Sunday morning messages on the 13 apostles (the original 12 and Paul), and mnay have said they are glad to hear these messages and learn more of these men chosen by Jesus to be His apostles.  We have already covered Andrew, Philip, Nathaneal and Matthew, James, son of Alphaeus, and John.  This coming Sunday, Feb 19, I will be preaching on James, John's brother.  The order for the remaining apostles is:  Peter, Thomas, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Juda Iscariot.  There's a lot that can be learned from the lives and examples of these early Christian leaders.  Join us at 10:00 am (ct).

RELAY FOR LIFE LOVE OFFERING - Relay for Life is a program of the American Cancer Society to help inform communities on the topic of cancer and its effects on individuals, families and friends.  On Friday evening, January 27, we had our "Relay for Life" soup and chili supper.   We were able to raise  $1,035.00! Carol Meadows, our Relay for Life Team Leader did a wonderful job coordinating that event.   On Sunday, March 11, 2012, we will be receiving a LOVE OFFERING for this year's Relay for Life.  We encourage everyone to be generous and help support this worthy cause.  This is a yearly project that our church supports.
